Netflix’s murder mystery series “The Perfect Couple” has been receiving mixed reviews. But, it has dominated the service’s top 10 charts for two weeks. It even managed to fend off the return of “Emily in Paris.” The series is immensely popular. There’s speculation that the “limited series” not be so limited after all. This situation is reminiscent of other successful shows like HBO’s “Big Little Lies,” which also expanded beyond its first run.
Nicole Kidman has recently weighed in on the possibility of a second season. She expressed her belief that it should happen. Much of the cast shares this belief. In an interview with USA Today, she shared :
“I think it’s ripe [for more]…I think there’s still an enormous amount of history and an enormous amount of future.”
I really enjoyed the mini series. It was fantastic to see Meghann Fahy on screen—she’s an amazing actress and my favorite from “The Bold Type.” Michael Beach also stood out; I just wish he had more screen time because he is incredible. I’m definitely hoping for a season 2! Nicole Kidman delivered a strong performance, as expected, but I was particularly impressed by Greer. Her character’s change of heart towards the end added depth and made for a compelling arc. Overall, the series kept me engaged, and I can’t wait to see where the story goes next!
