Team Canada Black Medallists at Paris 2024

The 2024 Summer Olympics have reached their halfway point, with an estimated 10,000 athletes competing across 33 sports disciplines in Paris. Canada has sent 337 athletes to the Games and has already secured 16 medals: four gold, four silver, and eight bronze.

Josh Liendo won a silver medal in the men’s 100m butterfly at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games in France.

Félix Auger-Aliassime won a bronze medal in mixed doubles tennis at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, marking Canada’s first-ever Olympic medal in that event. He also finished fourth in men’s singles, achieving Canada’s best Olympic result in either of the tennis singles tournaments.

Canada’s rugby sevens squad became the nation’s first Cinderella story at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, advancing all the way to the gold medal game. Despite entering the tournament ranked fifth and having not placed higher than third at any international tournament in the year leading up to the Games, they exceeded expectations with their remarkable performance.
