Saint-Pierre is a Canadian police procedural television series that premiered in the 2024–25 season on CBC Television. The show begins with Donny “Fitz” Fitzpatrick, an exiled cop sent to the French collectivity of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon after his investigations bring him dangerously close to exposing the corruption of a powerful local politician.
Once in exile, Fitz is paired with local police officer Geneviève “Arch” Archambault to solve local crimes. The series was created by Hawco, Robina Lord-Stafford, and Perry Chafe for Hawco Productions.
What I really love about the show is its bilingual nature. Although it’s in English, we get to hear some French, which is a nice touch since we’re bilingual, it’s always great to hear both languages. Saint-Pierre is the capital and main town of the French overseas collectivity of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, located on the eastern shore of Saint-Pierre Island, about 25 kilometers (15 miles) off the southern coast of Newfoundland, Canada.
At first, I wasn’t sure about the show, but after giving it a chance, I couldn’t get enough of it. I didn’t fully understand Arch’s investigation into Gallagher, but the way season 1 ended really made me think. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
